Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Maintains familiarity and compliance with corporate logistics policies and procedures; • Consistently follows all logistics Policies, Procedures, Processes and guidelines; develops local transportation & logistics Process and procedures in line with corporate guidelines; • Ensures all QHSE principles and recommendations are followed when transporting & handling materials. Immediately reports all HSE incidents to the SCM & Site/HSE Manager; • Works with the Supply Chain Manager to establish annual goals & objectives in line with country Supply chain objectives & priorities; • Collaborates with all direct reports & other logistics staff and establishes their annual objectives in line with country logistics department objectives and initiatives; • Conducts mid-year and year-end performance appraisals review for all direct reports, discusses the progress and set the direction to achieve the goals & objectives successfully; • Presents & discusses the transportation & logistics Scorecards to CSCM on monthly basis to seek guidance & corrective actions, where required; • Assigns daily task requirements and periodically reviews work for consistency with policies and procedures; • Researches all modes of transportation including mobilization & demobilization to ensure the most beneficial and cost effective carrier for each specific requirement; • Works with the subcontractors to define the scope of mobilization and demobilization and all other logistics related activities; • Receives and reviews all Commercial Invoice and Packing List documents for all incoming & outgoing material and works with the team, FF & agents to make necessary arrangements; • Validates all international shipping documents for their accuracy and alignment with country customs requirements. Gets the documents corrected before the shipment leaves the country of sales, in case documents were found incorrect; • Makes sure all materials are shipped considering their nature, sensitivity, schedules & NBDs; • Coordinates inbound & outbound materials with purchasing and inventory staff; • Negotiates local contracts and individual moves of equipment and parts with carriers for cost-effective solutions and coordinates the effective implementation; and continuously strives for cost saving opportunities & tracks the same; • Receives and reviews FF on-hand reports, works with inventory, purchasing & end users to make decisions on holding/consolidating material in US; • Liaise with Exterran Houston logistic department and freight forwarders to make sure parts are released as per country’s approved shipping schedules, if not held for consolidation; • Works closely with Houston logistics, inventory, purchasing, end users and freight forwarder teams to resolve OS&Ds (overages, shortages & damages) issues; • Works closely with clearing agents in the country to make sure equipment and parts are cleared smoothly without paying any demurrages & penalties; • Uses the tools & reports to know about the suppliers’ promise dates, makes arrangements to consolidate materials for dispatch to the sites, tracks shipments from issuance of Purchase Order to delivery at final destination; • Communicates with domestic suppliers to make sure orders are picked up in timely manner, if required, as per supplier promise dates; reports delays or changes in pick up schedules to purchasing, inventory & end users, when needed; • Updates the customers and all key stakeholders on material status on weekly basis; • Follows up in-transit shipments and updates the Material Tracking report on daily basis; • Participates in sales & new project activities to provide accurate transportation costs; • Recommends new opportunities to improve logistics & transportation controls and efficiency, supervises the department related process improvement initiatives; • Works with accounting to make sure carriers, agents & transporters are paid in timely manner; • Builds, maintains and publishes monthly importation cost (as an average) for parts and units by all transportation modes, finds ways to lower the costs; • Manages special importation permits, temporary imports and makes necessary arrangements for re-export, keeps track of all documents and advises on expiration well before the time; • Manages company drivers, coordinates vehicles’ maintenance and repair/recovery & arranges transportation for staff, when needed; • Ensures regular radio reporting procedures are maintained consistent with HSE requirements, regulations and any local security measures; • Mentors junior logistics staff working at sites & offices in the country; • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and actively participate in the development and implementation of solutions;
